David DeLorenzo, CAE

Chief Executive Officer

 

David, known in the association community as DeLo, is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Cannolai and the innovative mind behind the Cannolai experience.

As a 30-year veteran in the association community and a proven high-energy leader and visionary who excels at innovation, David brings strategic expertise and experience to the team. Under David’s leadership, Cannolai will change the way that that associations manage membership and engagement in a modern digital ecosystem.

 

Prior to starting Cannolai, DeLo was the Chief Operating Officer at Association Analytics.  He also formerly led the CIO practice at DelCor. Before his path moved to the industry partner side of the business he had an extensive career as an association executive, always utilizing technology in innovative ways to solve real association problems.   

 

David is a seasoned speaker and active member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), formerly serving as Chair of the ASAE Technology Section Council. He has delivered numerous educational sessions, focused on data, analytics, innovation, disruption, and digital strategy.

Originally from West Virginia, David is an active alum and fan of the Mountaineers. He founded The Big D Foundation which supports an endowment to WVU for student athletes from the state. David now lives in Springfield, VA with his wife Christine, kids and golden retriever. In his spare time, David can usually be found on the golf course or relaxing and enjoying a cigar with friends.

Tony Stornaiuolo

Chief Technology Officer

 

Tony Stornaiuolo is the Chief Technology Officer and Founder of Cannolai. He is the technical force behind Cannolai’s solutions.

With over 25 years in the technology industry, Tony excels at driving tactical technical innovation backed by strategic business objectives. His extensive expertise in Enterprise Software Development keeps Cannolai at the cutting edge of technology, while driving toward Cannolai’s goal of changing the way associations manage membership and engagement in a modern digital ecosystem.


Prior to founding Cannolai, Tony has served at all levels in tech organizations. His primary experience is in the financial solutions arena, consulting for the likes of Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, and LPL Financial. He also has extensive enterprise experience with Levi’s, Delta Dental, and many large government organizations. His career is marked by his ability to lead large-scale technology projects and implement transformative digital strategies.


Originally from San Francisco, California, and having grown up in Kailua, Hawaii, Tony is an alum of the University of Hawaii and Ferris State University. Tony currently resides in Springfield, VA with his wife, Sara. They enjoy vacationing, exploring the DMV food scene, and spending time with friends and family.

Jon Danforth, CAE

Chief Customer Officer

 

Jon has been the CEO of JL Systems since 2012 and has been the lead architect of the aarwinMEP platform and NOAH/aarwin mobile app.

Prior to being CEO, since 1989 Jon has been a developer, senior project manager, Vice President of Sales and finally, Chief Operating Officer of JL Systems. 
 
Throughout his 34 years, Jon has been an integral member of every aspect of the Company, and remains a hands-on, tireless leader dedicated to the success of each department and staff member of JL Systems. Jon has also been the public face of the Company since 2007, attending every trade show and sales conference in which the Company has participated and speaking at numerous industry events, webinars and conferences. Jon was also among the earliest technology industry candidates to achieve the Certified Association Executive certification from the American Society of Association Executives in 2015. 

Joel Broyhill

Chief Revenue Officer

 

 Joel is Chief Revenue Officer at Cannolai, where he oversees revenue operations and advises associations modernizing their technology and operations.

Joel brings decades of experience working directly with and for membership-based organizations. He understands how associations identify operational challenges, evaluate technology investments, and successfully adopt enterprise systems that improve data access, accuracy, reporting, and business processes.

 

At Cannolai, Joel works closely with the go-to-market team across product, marketing, and customer success to ensure solutions align with real-world association workflows and deliver measurable outcomes. He partners with executive teams to connect technology strategy with operational realities, helping organizations reduce manual work, improve decision-making, and achieve measurable return on investment.

 

Joel holds professional certifications in HubSpot, Salesforce, and Microsoft. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and an MBA from Virginia Tech.

Jylian Ibsen

Vice President of Product & Implementation Strategy

 

Jylian is a solutions-focused leader with over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of product, pre-sales, and implementation.

At Cannolai, she works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure product strategy supports successful implementation and measurable outcomes. Her focus is on turning complexity into clarity and delivering systems that are both technically sound and operationally effective.

 

Outside of work, Jylian is a mother of two, wife, an avid reader, a crafter, and a gamer. These roles reflect her commitment to lifelong learning, creativity, and maintaining balance between professional excellence and personal fulfillment. She strives to model the value of hard work, continuous growth, and pursuing one’s passions in every aspect of her life.

Marco Falconi

Vice President of Research & Development 

 

Marco is the Vice President of Research & Development at Cannolai and a software and data systems architect with deep experience designing enterprise platforms for association and nonprofit organizations.

Marco brings more than a decade of experience designing and building large-scale enterprise technology platforms. His expertise spans distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and data engineering, with a focus on building secure, scalable infrastructure for complex member-based organizations.

At Cannolai, Marco leads the platform architecture that powers the Cannolai ecosystem. His work focuses on integrating association management systems, CRMs, and community platforms through secure APIs and automated data pipelines built with technologies such as Python and Apache Airflow. He has led engineering teams responsible for multi-tenant SaaS architectures and analytics-driven platforms that support organizations managing large and complex membership communities.

Originally from Lima, Peru, Marco holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia and is based in Washington, DC.
